The Elementary School began its operation in 1939. Today the school consists of ten

rooms, one of which is used as a Computer Lab, another as an Art Classroom and three

as classrooms. The school maintains a kitchen and two halls where the students can take

their lunch during the whole-day school.

Two more rooms are used as the headmaster’s and the teachers’ offices. During

the school year 2017-2018, The Regional Primary School of Kouklia-Nikoklia-

Archimandrita is attended by 39 children, grouped in 3 grade complexes. The first

complex is formed by grades 1st + 2nd, the second complex by grades 3rd + 4th and the

third complex by grades 5th + 6th. Due to the composition of the student population, the

school employs a Deputy Headmaster and four teachers (three permanent teachers and

a visitor teacher). The school also employs a secretary and a curator as assisting staff.

Three of the school students live in Nikoklia, whereas the rest of the students live in the

area of Kouklia. Additionally, out of the 31 children, two of them have a foreign language

as their native language.During the afternoon operates an optional Whole-day school

which is attended by 19 children from all six grades.
