Stewart Martin is a Professor of Education at the University of Hull, UK. He researches, consults and speaks across the world on the topics of digital technology-enhanced learning, applied cognitive psychology, virtual reality, online identity and research methodology.

Stewart uses rigorous research to gain insight into how learning really works and how digital technology can be used effectively to enhance education.  His work has appeared in many of the most reputed academic journals, such as Educational Research and Evaluation, the International Journal of Learning Technology, Computers and Education, the Journal of Computer Assisted Learning and Teaching and Teacher Education.

He is an active researcher and a keynote speaker at educational and technology conferences. He runs a number of international research projects and is a visiting professor at universities in Switzerland, Japan and China.

Stewart is a National Teaching Fellow of the UK Higher Education Academy.
